April 28, 2021: After a ten-year absence, JI500/Doctorindy.com will bring back some of its roots. Indianapolis 500 statistics will come back in a limited form. Check back soon.
April 27, 2021: As was announced earlier in the year, The Talk of Gasoline Alley will not air for 2021 due to retirement of Donald Davidson. It has been announced that a new program “Behind the Bricks” will take over its timeslot during the month of May on WFNI.

January 12, 2021: Coming soon will be a brand new article diving into the Second Starting Position Jinx at the Indianapolis 500.
December 7, 2020: The Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum has announced that historian, and host of The Talk of Gasoline Alley, Donald Davidson will retire effective December 31, 2020. It has not been confirmed, but it is expected, that TOGA staring Donald Davidson will likely come to an end. Information regarding 2021 and beyond will be posted when it becomes available.

March 27, 2020: The 2020 Indianapolis 500 has officially been rescheduled for August 23 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. A new article is online, summarizing the history of delays and postponements at the Indianapolis 500.
In addition, on the March 24, 2020 episode of “Trackside” (WFNI 107.5/1070 The Fan), the second hour was a special edition of The Talk of Gasoline Alley. It appears that during the shutdown, this will be a semi-regular feature. This will be documented, and included as part of the TOGA canon.
March 23, 2020: Routine updates and maintenance are ongoing, in anticipation for the 2020 month of May. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, as of today the month of May at Indy is in question. Nevertheless, upgrades are continuing to happen. More editions of the All-Night Race Party will be coming soon (hopefully 2008 and 2009). The 2001 edition of the ANRP was evaluated, and there simply was not any content to post. I do not post the actual race broadcast portions of the ANRP (since they are available in their entirety through official IMS releases). The 1999 edition is short, but it had a few minutes worth of segments to use. On the main audio downloads page, some of the sections have been reorganized.
July 22, 2019: Updates completed include adding the Brickyard 400 Daily Trackside Reports (PDF) from 1998 to 2007. In addition, I have compiled the “missing” Brickyard 400 Daily Trackside Reports from 1995 and 1996 (with 1997 coming soon). I also expanded the previously brief/abridged 1994 Brickyard 400 Daily Trackside Report with some timing & scoring reports, etc.
July 12, 2019: Updates completed include migrating nearly all of the TOGA episodes, Trackside episodes, and History/Heroes episodes to a new server. The Daily Trackside Reports have also been migrated to the new server. The organization and structure should make the downloading run smoother.
July 3, 2019: I am pleased to announce that significant upgrades to the site, particularly the audio downloads are currently underway. You may have noticed already some of the changes. The audio downloads are being migrated to a new, more efficient and more user-friendly server. The issues over the past year or so having to do with downloads hopefully will be resolved. The work is ongoing, and will continue well into the fall.
In addition, I expect that new content will be available soon.
